Rob BianchiRob Bianchi holds a MEd in ELT and has been an active EFL teacher for 25 years. He is the founder and managing director of Anglo Centres. Rob's also a tutor and course director on the various TEFL courses offered by Anglo Centres TEFL and is deeply involved in the development of teacher education systems and policies. He has worked within the mainstream sector of Spanish education holding the post of Head of ELT at a secondary school in Tarragona. Rob's also an accomplished cook and landscape gardener famous for his good Welsh humour! Vince FerrerVince Ferrer holds a MEd in ELT and a TESOL Diploma and is currently based in Tarragona where he combines his role of Director of Studies for Anglo Centres language schools with teaching for the local URV University. He is also an experienced teacher trainer and TEFL course writer and acts as course director and tutor on Anglo Centres TEFL courses. His main interests are TEFL methodology and distance learning education and has written numerous articles for several ELT publications. One of his latest interests is the use of humour in the English Language classroom and together with Rob he has run workshops at various ELT conventions. In his free time Vince loves playing basketball, reading and watching TV series. Paula Houlker
Paula Houlker is a qualified EFL Teacher.
After completing a CELTA course in Mid Kent College, Maidstone,
England, she began teaching English to adults and teenagers of all
nationalities. Her career in
teaching began in the University of Kent in Canterbury teaching closed
groups of Italian and Spanish adult students of various levels.
In 2001 she made the move to Barcelona, where she started
teaching very young children as well as adults.
Teaching teenagers, children and very young children became her
passion and she started taking on more senior roles in this field.
Paula now works in Tarragona teaching children and babies in
local nursery schools as well as being the Young Learners Coordinator
for Anglo Centres. She also
carries out in-house young learners training sessions from time to time.
Paula’s other interests are cooking, especially learning new
local recipes, English literature and spending time with her family. Joana HelmsJoana Helms is a qualified and experienced EFL instructor with studies in English and Spanish Philology at the University Rovira i Virgili of Tarragona. She has 15 years of experience teaching English to very young learners and teenagers and she is also a fluent translator. Joana has been working for Anglo Centres for the last ten years and she is specialized in teaching young learners and teenagers and preparing them for the Cambridge ESOL exams. Teaching babies is also one of her main interests and at the moment she’s teaching preschool students at local nurseries. In her free time Joana loves playing basketball with her children, reading South American literature and listening to Bruce Springsteen! Jane Ward
Jane Ward is a
qualified TEFL instructor with years of experience under her belt. She
qualified in Barcelona, lived and worked there for 5 years, focusing
mainly on in-company classes, but also teaching some younger learners.
